Joseph J. Palagonia, 84, of Bethlehem, died July 12, 2015, at Gracedale, Nazareth. Born in Queens, Long Island, N.Y., he was a son of the late Charles A. and Pauline M. (Wagner) Palagonia.
He was in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War.
He worked for Kraft Foods, Fogelsville, until he retired.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay.
He was a lifetime member of the Fearless Fire Company, Allentown, and of the Fullerton Fire Company.
He is survived by a sister, Evelyn and her husband Joseph Herman of Whitehall; two brothers, Charles and his wife Nicole Wagner and Jerry and his wife Tina Palagonia, all of Whitehall; a friend, Barbara Schussler of Bethlehem; nieces; and nephews.
