Jeanne H. Fleckenstein, St. Luke's nurse

Jeanne H. Fleckenstein, 89, of Bethlehem, died July 14, 2015, at Moravian Village Health Center. Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Lowell J. Swarts and Nora (Van Gordon) Swarts. She was the wife of William O. Fleckenstein for 67 years.

She completed nurses training at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, which was affiliated with Cornell Medical Center, New York City; and took post graduate training in obstetrics at New York Hospital.

She was a nurse in New York and at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Anne Pistell and son-in-law David Kozak of New Haven Conn.; a son-in-law, Christopher Teasdale of Califon, N.J.; three grandchildren, Brad Teasdale of Garrison, N.Y., Lauren Pistell of Syracuse, N.Y. and Colin Pistell of Boulder, Colo.; and four great-grandchildren, Elijah and Eve McDonald of Syracuse, N.Y., and Ayla and Ander Teasdale of Garrison, N.Y.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Lynn Fleckenstein Teasdale.
