Florence Michael, 92, formerly of Schnecksville, died July 12, 2015, in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall.

She was the wife of the late Charles P. Michael.

Born Nov. 6, 1922, in Beaver Township, Columbia County, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose A. and Helen (Harger) Singley.

A graduate of Mansfield University with a Bachelor's degree in home economics and social studies, she was a home economics teacher in the Parkland School District for 20 years before retiring in 1981.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall.

Her survivors include children Glenn A. of Scotland, David E. of Waterville, Kathleen A., with whom she resided; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Richard D.
