David W. Keim

David W. Keim, 55, of Fogelsville, died July 10, 2015, in his home with his loving family by his side.

The beloved husband of Lucy Greenawalt Keim, they celebrated 30 years of marriage in May.

Born Oct. 12, 1959, in Reading, he was a son of Jean A. Conrad Keim of Kempton and the late Frank Keim.

A graduate of Kutztown High School, he shortly thereafter began a 34-year career with Lehigh Valley Plastics, Bethlehem, until retirement this July.

Through hard work and determination, he rose through the ranks beginning as a carpenter later holding various positions within management and sales, in addition to serving as the company president.

His consideration of others formed long-lasting friendships and his integrity and tremendous drive inspired many.

He was fun loving and found time to enjoy life.

He loved the outdoors, hunting, golfing and sports, and was an avid Phillies fan, one of the many passions shared with his family.

Most importantly, he was a loving and devoted husband and father.

He was a member of the Kempton Fire Company, Kempton Rod and Gun Club, International Association of Plastics Distributors, where he served on the board of directors, education and editorial committees, Pennsylvania Institute for Conservation Education, and volunteered for the former Bavarian Festival of Barnesville with family and friends.

He was also a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown, where he served on church council and cemetery board.

In addition to his beloved wife and mother he is survived by his only child and loving son, Andy; brother Dana and his wife, Krista, of Bowers; sisters Deborah DeWolfe and husband, Eric, of Kutztown, Denise Fenstermacher and husband Tod, of Maxatawny; four nieces and sister-in-law, Louise Greenawalt.

Memorial donations in his memory may be offered to the church.
