Albert J. Borda, 85, of Catasauqua, died July 11, 2015, in his home. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Alex and Anna (Hegedus) Borda. He was the husband of the late Priscilla A. (Smith) Borda.

He was a seaman in the U.S Navy and a veteran of Korea.

He was in custodial services at Scheckler Elementary School, Catasauqua, for many years until he retired in 2014.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #215, Catasauqua.

He is survived by two daughters, Candace and her husband Lyman Leibensperger of Catasauqua, and Wendy Thomma and her companion Pat Yorke of Northampton; a son, Randy A. and his wife Lori of Catasauqua; and seven grandchildren, Joseph, Nicholas, Albert, William, Devin, Ryan and Thomas.
