Guster got live if you want it

Guster, an American alternative rock band, performs at 8 p.m. July 17, Musikfest Cafe, ArtsQuest Center, SteelStacks, Bethlehem.

The band, formed at Tufts University in 1992, is known for its live performances and humorous onstage presence. The group includes Brian Rosenworcel, Ryan Miler, Adam Gardner and Luke Reynolds.

"We have a good time and don't take ourselves too seriously," says Brian Rosenworcel in a phone interview.

Some of the more familiar Guster songs include "Fa, Fa," "Careful" and "Amsterdam." The band has released seven albums in 20 years, including its latest, "Evermotion."

"After living with your past album for a couple of years, no matter how much you like it, you get the itch to create something new and different," Rosenworcel says.

Guster's music has been heard on the soundtracks of several television shows and movies, including "Martian Child," "Satellite," "Disturbia," "Wedding Crashers," "Life As House" and "The O.C."
