Silvio C. Rossi

Silvio C. Rossi, 94, of Kempton, died June 29, 2015, in ManorCare, Allentown.

He was the loving husband of Marjorie E. (Kennison) Rossi for 40 wonderful years this past February.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Angelo and Mary (Kelton) Rossi.

A caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he was always there for his family.

He was a lieutenant for 31 years with the Newark (N.J.) Police Department until retiring in 1979.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

After retirement, he was a school crossing guard in Cranford, N.J., for 20 years.

He was of the Catholic faith.

He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Zeal, a mine sweeper, during WWII.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, David C. and wife, Kathleen, of Washington, N.J.; daughter Cecilia, wife of George Scocchi, of Doylestown; stepdaughters Pamela, wife of Robert Lacaillade, of Millville, N.J., Ellen, wife of Duke Daniels, of Kempton, Elizabeth, wife of Keith Galvin, of Brein-igsville; stepson William W. Perry of Germansville; grandchildren Robert, Laura, Jon, Gabriel, Cristina, Pamela, Jessica, Robert, Karrie, Keith and Grace; and great-grandchildren Keira, Bryce, Catherine, Luke, Kath-arine, Olivia, Mason, Hunter, and Hudson, Jasmine and Jordan.

He was predeceased by his son Jon Rossi.
