Whitehall Fire Department firefighters demonstrate rescue techniques during a simulated multi-vehicle accident with entrapment at the Cementon Fair June 24. As a large crowd gathered behind the ropes, members of the Fullerton (Station 36) and Egypt (Station 39) fire stations assessed the vehicle accident, while paramedics with Cetronia Ambulance Corps treated the driver. During the demonstration, firefighters protected the accident scene to avoid any additional risks. They used vehicle-stabilization techniques to prevent any unexpected movement and, using a variety of tools and equipment, they removed the windshield and doors of the vehicle to free and allow for the safe removal of the accident victim.
