Daniel A. Roche Sr., 90, formerly of Florida and New Jersey, died July 3, 2015, in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem.

He was the husband of the late Mary (Messen) Roche and Edna E. (Rover) Roche.

Born Dec. 26, 1924, in New York City, N.Y., he was the son of the late Daniel and Mary (Cunningham) Roche.

Faithfully and honorably serving his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, he received two Purple Heart Medals.

He was a sales representative for Mueller Belting Co., New Jersey, before retiring.

A member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

His survivors include children Daniel A. Jr. (Eileen) of Conway, S.C., Susan F. Borchers (John) of Orefield, Dennis T. Roche of Neptune Beach, Fla., Laura M. Keefner (Kenneth) of Great Barrington, Mass., Joyce A. Vining of Jacksonville, Fla.; step-daughters Barbara Orlovsky (Dennis) of Clifton, N.J., Carol Bowers (John) of Vero Beach, Fla., Paula Mutter (Dan) of Clifton, N.J.; sisters Mary Moran of West Palm Beach, Fla., Kathleen Edwards of Pearl River, N.Y., Helen Anderson of Charlotte, N.C.; brother Thomas "Brother Gerard" Roche of Staten Island, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by siblings Margaret Mulligan, and John and Joseph Roche.
