A 52-year-old Syracuse, N.Y,. woman died when the tractor trailer she was driving overturned at approximately 3:20 a.m. June 25 in front of 10635 Hamilton Blvd, Upper Macungie Township.
Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim says Kathleen D. Blue was pronounced dead at 4:54 a.m. that day by Deputy Coroner Michael Bartholomew.
An autopsy was performed June 26 to determine her cause of death.
The manner and method of her death is pending toxicology test results, Grim told The Press June 29.
Grim says Blue was partially ejected from the tractor trailer that left the roadway and rolled over.
According to Upper Macungie Township police, Blue was driving a 2001 Volvo tractor pulling a 2015 utility trailer east (marked north) on Hamilton Boulevard, when it crossed the road and into a ditch along the roadway, overturning onto its driver's side.
Hamilton Boulevard was closed in the area while crews cleared the crash scene, police say.
The tractor and trailer sustained major damage.
Cetronia Ambulance Corps personnel and Upper Macungie Township Fire Police assisted at the scene.
