'Revisiting South Bethlehem' exhibit set
There will be an exhibit, Revisiting South Bethlehem: 150 Years of Photography, from August 24 through May 27, 2016 at the Dubois Gallery of the Lehigh University Art Galleries, Asa Packer Campus, 9 W. Packer Ave. The gallery hours are Mon. through Fri. from 9 a.m. to 10p.m. and Sat. from 9 a.m. to noon.
The show draws together works by contemporary and historical photographers who contributed to the visual history of South Bethlehem. From William Herman Rau's photographs for the Lehigh Valley Railroad, and continuing through Walker Evans' iconic Depression Era images, the photos showcase the SouthSide's industrial and post-industrial identity.
Free docent-led tours are available on select Saturdays at 11 a.m. or by appointment. Visit https://luagblog.wordpress.com/press-info/.
