Anna M. Smith, 86, of Kutztown, died June 28, 2015, with her loving family by her side in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband Merritt A. Smith celebrated their 67th wedding aniversary in October 2014.

Born in New Tripoli, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Gildner) Sittler.

A cafeteria worker with the Kutztown School District for 22 years, she retired in 1987.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Kutztown.

A former treasurer of the former Kutztown Jaycee wives, she was a charter member and former director of the Kutztown Lioness Club.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Sharon A., wife of Martin Kozlowski, of Kutztown; son Kevin M. and his wife, Marta, of Alburtis; sister Mabel Heckler of Allentown; grandchildren Jennifer, Heather, Tyler and Logan; and great-grandchildren, Austin and Ethan.

She was predeceased by her siblings Mildred Kunkel , Marie Henry and Helen Follweiler.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. July 3, in St. Paul's UCC, 47 S. Whiteoak St., Kutztown, with a calling hour beginning 10 a.m.

The Rev. John W. Davies will officiate.

Interment will be in Jacob's Union Cemetery, New Tripoli.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the chuch memorial fund c/o the church.
