Firefighters from Western Salisbury Fire Department are called to an animal rescue along Regent Drive, near the Penn Treaty Insurance Company building near South Mall recently, after passers-by saw five ducklings fall through a storm sewer grate into the underground runoff system and called the Lehigh County 911 Center.
WSFD Chief Joshua Wells, left, and Assistant Chief Jerry Royer take a cardboard box containing the ducklings from firefighter Nicholas Fisher, who crawled into the stormwater pipe to retrieve the ducklings.
