Volunteer Opportunties
Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall will have a car show in the parking lot for residents. Volunteers, ages 16 and older, are needed to escort and push residents in wheelchairs to and from the car show. Wheelchair and escort training will be given 5:30-8:30 p.m. on July 29. Rain date is July 30.

·Center for Career Pathways and Literacy at LCCC, Allentown, is looking for volunteer tutors for the GED and ESL programs. Anyone who can tutor in math, language arts, and/or social studies is welcome.
The volunteer must be able to tutor at least three hours a week and have a bachelor's degree in any subject. Times and days are flexible and based on the volunteer's schedule. Tutor orientations will be held 6 p.m. July 14 and 1 p.m. July 15.

·Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County, Allentown, needs volunteers ages 18 and older to do grocery shopping for seniors who are homebound and adults with disabilities who can cook, but can't get to the store themselves.
Choose the area of Lehigh County that works best for you. Flexible scheduling based on client's needs for grocery shopping (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly). Background checks are provided at their expense. Orientation will take place 1 p.m. July 8, 10:30 a.m. July 17 and 1 p.m. July 29.

·Miller-Keystone Blood Center needs canteen attendants 18 and over in their Bethlehem and Allentown locations.
Canteen attendants monitor blood donors after their donations, ensure donors are feeling well before leaving the site and serve drinks/snacks to the donors. Volunteers are needed in Bethlehem 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and in Allentown 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays and 7-10 a.m. Saturdays.

·Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley, Schnecksville, Come on out and volunteer at the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley. This opportunity is to have fun with players with special needs by being their angel/buddy.
Volunteers will help the players bat, run bases and have a catch while having a great time. Games are Wednesday and Friday nights and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. No experience necessary.
