To the Editor:
In regard to the editorial "Time to screen the airport security process" (June 11):
It should be no surprise the TSA's mission to ensure airport safety is an almost total failure. Not one terrorist has been caught since it began operations, but its idiotic policies and intimidating manner have been remarkably successful at conditioning obedience and subservience.
Considering (Press editor) Ms. Wojciechowski and millions of other American travelers are willing to be herded through TSA's airport terminal "cattle chutes" and to meekly submit to sexually humiliating pat-downs, perhaps TSA has fulfilled its mission after all.
Are we really free when we surrender our dignity and basic human need for personal privacy to the state's cold, invasive hand?
