Dorothy D. Hoppes, 90, from Coplay, died June 19, 2015, in Whitehall Manor.
She was the widow of the late Robert E. Hoppes Sr.
Born in Ruchsville, North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Homer P. and Lasta A. (Butz) Lazarus.
She was a sewing machine operator at the former Ironton Fashions and the former Brown Shoe Co., Allentown, before retiring.
A member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, she was a member of the Helping Hands and volunteered in the church office.
Active in the life of her community, she volunteered her time at Tri-Clover Fire Co., Grouse Hall and with NOVA Auxiliary.
Her survivors include children Robert E. Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Coplay, Diane C. Selig of Germansville, Darrell R. Sr. of Coplay, Kevin L. and his wife, Louise, of Portland, Ore., Duane L. and his wife, Linda, of Coplay; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother Emmett B. Lazarus.
