Carl D. VanScheetz, 71, of Bethlehem, died June 5, 2015, in his home.

Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late John and Verna (Smith) VanScheetz.

He was a Liberty HS graduate.

He was in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He was a repairman for Compuspar, formerly NCR, in Allentown, until he retired in 2006.

He was a member of the Raccoon Club and the Lappawinzo Fish & Game Club.

He is survived by three step-children, Richard and James Schaffer, and Michele and her husband Timothy Getz ; five nieces and nephews, Danelle, Valerie, Patrick, Matthew and Daniel Barwick Jr.; seven grandchildren, Cristal, Timothy, Tanya, Samuel, Salena, Anthony and James; and friend, Shari McClure and her daughters Jamie and Stephanie.

He was predeceased by a sister, Gertrude Barwick.

Arrangements were made by Long Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
