Twenty artists will be selected from an "artist throw-down" at the 4th Annual "Lehigh Valley Art Wars Competition," 3 - 5 p.m. June 27, Allentown BrewWorks, 812 Hamilton St., Allentown.

Each artists will be given a theme and two hours to create his or her work. The 20 "Art Warriors" will be chosen by audience votes. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. Artists are to bring supplies, easel, and drop cloth.

The winner of the competition final will receive a $1,000 prize and a solo gallery exhibition in the Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley.

Artwork created during "Art Wars" will be auctioned at a wrap-up exhibit opening party at the Allentown Art Museum in the fall.

"Lehigh Valley Art Wars" was founded in 2011 by Zeke Zelker and Steven Liebensperger.
