Viola S. Allerton, 86, of Orefield, died on June 11, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
The loving wife of George L. Allerton, they were married 65 years.
Born June 25, 1928 , in Schnecksville, she was a daughter of the late Charles J. and Miriam P. (Stahley) Laudenslager.
She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Allentown, where she was a secretary for 23 years.
A founding member of Parkland Garden Club, she served as president.
She greatly enjoyed the company of her family and friends, and loved spending weekends at the cabin, playing games, being outdoors and travelling with her husband.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children: Linda A. and Robert Freedman of Bethlehem, Frederick C. and Suzanne Allerton of Bethlehem, Susan E. Allerton and Pete Rowland, of Durango, Colo., Barbara C. Allerton and Gary Stauffer, of Harrisburg; siblings Elwood F. and Lucille Laudenslager of Orefield, Carol A. and Robert Danner of Slatington; four grandchildren Andrew, Michael and Brianne, and Julie Allerton, and Nathaniel Stauffer.
She was predeceased by her sister Elaine C. Hunsicker.
