The Cement Belt Fair will come to life Monday, June 22, to Saturday, June 27, 5-10 p.m. each day.
Tuesday will be Kids' Night, with appearances by magician Tom Yurasits, IronPigs mascots Ferrous and Fefe and reptile pets and petting zoo exhibits.
Wednesday is Public Service Recognition Night, featuring a roaming brass band, a mock vehicle rescue with a MedEvac landing and a police K-9 demo. Also planned are a hamburger-eating contest, stilt walkers and hoop dancers and a hoop dance workshop.
On Thursday, there will be a reptile pets show, pizza-eating contest, stilt walkers, hoop dancers and Tahitian belly dancers.
Friday will include a hot dog-eating contest, Rita's mascot and a tethered hot air balloon. Eclectic Circus will present Join the Circus Day with the following activities: 6:45 p.m., face painting with contortionist Bendy Wendy; 7-7:30 p.m., hoola hoop workshop; 7:45 p.m., hoola hoop contest; 8-8:30 p.m., Chinese dragon and lion workshop; 9-9:30 p.m., peg stilt-walking workshop; and 9:30-10 p.m., plate-spinning workshop.
The final day of the fair, Saturday, will include a tethered hot air balloon and fireworks.
Musical entertainment will be by American Street Band on Monday, Acoustic Project on Tuesday, Steel Creek on Wednesday, AmRev 2 with Electric Circus Stage on Thursday, Dana Gaynor on Friday and ADD on Saturday.
Pre-sale ride tickets are available at King Kone, Whitehall. Electric bull riding and the Red Robin mascot will be at the fair all week, and Archery Addictions will have a booth all week.
