Donald Arthur Reider
Donald Arthur Reider, 67, of North Whitehall Township, died unexpectedly June 9, 2015, while vacationing in Duck, N.C.
He and his wife Anita D. (Zwetolitz) Reider were married 46 years.
Born Dec. 24, 1947, in Allentown, he was a son of the late Frederick H. and Arlene M. (Bruder) Reider.
He retired in 2005 as coordinator system operator trainer and procedures for PPL, Allentown, after 39 years of service.
After retirement, he worked on the Union Church cemetery grounds for 10 years.
He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.
A member of the Slatington Lodge No. 440, F&AM; a life member of the NRA, Copeechan Rod and Gun Club, Blue Ridge Fish and Game, and Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club, he was also a member of Rural Sportsmen's Association and the American Club, Coplay.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by children Scott F. and Christine M. of Orefield, Mark D. and Kelly E. of Lititz, Amy L. and Jason C. Bower of Allentown, Lisa A. and Raymond K. Jr. Gilmore of Elizabethtown; brother Gary F. of Allentown; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
He was predeceased by a sister Marilyn.
Family and friends may call 8:30-10:45 a.m. June 22, at Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, followed by the service at 11 a.m. Masonic Service will be 10:45 a.m. Monday.
Bikers are welcome to attend and participate in the ride to the interment site at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
