Acknowledging many years of dedication and leadership, South Whitehall commissioners approved certificates of appreciation for three individuals retiring from township boards.

Steven Seyer served on the board of commissioners for 12 years and the South Whitehall planning commission for 10 years.

Donald Werley served on the township planning commission for 25 years and the public safety commission for 16 years.

Richard Klotz served on the board of commissioners for four years and the township board of authority for 10 years.

"We want to recognize these valuable individuals who have donated their time and energy to the township," Commissioners' President Christina "Tori" Morgan said at the June 3 meeting.
