Angelo W. "Skeeter" Sorrentino, 73, of South Whitehall Township, died peacefully June 9, 2015, surrounded by his family, in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown.
He and his wife Veronica A. (Betlow) Sorrentino recently celebrated 54 years of marriage.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Joseph C. and Mary (Impeciati) Sorrentino.
A 1959 graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy, he was a businessman and entrepreneur.
He owned and operated the former JAWN Contracting Inc., then C-T Concrete Co., Inc., and Patterned Concrete Co. of Pennsylvania, until his retirement in 2008.
He was a devoted husband, father and a member and dedicated volunteer of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Allentown.
An avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, he also enjoyed exploring his family genealogy, but his eight grandkids were his pride and joy.
In additon to his wife, he is survived by children, Angela M., wife of Stanley D. Stanek, Wendy A., wife of Paul Olesak Jr., Janie L., wife of David D'Aurora, Nicholas J. and his wife, Kara; siblings Grace Riepensell, Anthony J. Sorrentino and his wife, Barbara; grandchildren Michael, Felicity, Amanda, Dante, Hayden, Dario, Hailey and Dylan, all of the Lehigh Valley.
