George W. Steckel, 56, of Emmaus, died June 7, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born March 5, 1959, in South Whitehall Township, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Stella V. (Krause) Steckel.

He was a truck driver with Waste Management before retiring.

He was a Catholic.

His survivors include daughters Christine S. Rodriguez of Allentown, Jill M. Rodriguez of Bethlehem; sisters Bernice S. Gehman and MaryEllen A. Miller, both of Orefield; special buddy, nephew and friend, Tony J. Miller of Slatington; snd six grandchildren.

His funeral services will be 1 p.m. June 11, in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.

Family and friends may pay their respects 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Grandview Cemetery, South Whitehall.
