PRESS PHOTOS BY TIM GILMAN 0840 The usual opening day crowd at the City of Bethlehem pools this past Saturday, June 6 was thwarted by a breezy, overcast morning with abnormally cool water from the recent unseasonably cool nightime temps which kept the first hour quiet with about a dozen visitors at Memorial Pool. Brother and sister Tyler and Madison Bauer were the first swimmers to enter Memorial Pool on Illick's Mill Road. The youngsters braved the cool water with a running jump into the light blue pool.
