Sherry A. Hacker

Sherry A. Hacker, 73, of Coplay, died peacefully May 27, 2015, with her loving and devoted family by her side, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg campus.

She was the wife of Ronald H. Hacker for almost 50 years.

Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late George and Emma (Hoffman) Santee.

A 1959 graduate of the former Coplay High School, she worked in the cafeteria at many Whitehall Coplay School District buildings, starting at Coplay and retiring from the middle school.

She enjoyed being an aide at St. Stephen's Preschool, and earlier in life worked in data entry for GAC.

A devoted volunteer in the kitchen of Coplay Fire Co. No. 1, later known as Commitment to Family and Community social club, she loved to tend her flowers, cook, bake, and especially make candy for the holidays.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by twin daughters Cheryl Schuster and her husband, Mark, of Coplay, and Carey at home; treasured granddaughters Jasmine and Alyssa Schuster; and a large and extended family.

She was predeceased by a grandson.
