To the Editor:
Northwestern's spring concert was a delight. Kudos to the Northwestern Lehigh High School Music Department for the plethora of delights from chorus, women's a cappella, men's a cappella, a percussion ensemble, jazz band, a clarinet ensemble to, of course, the concert band.
Quality performances abounded to satify everyone's taste in music.
My applause goes out to Instrumental Director James Lykins and his assistant, Shawn Fies, as well as to Choral Director Terri Lundberg and her accompanist Greg Snider for bringing forth a very enjoyable evening.
The pride and enthusiasm of all participants easily resounded to the audience.
Many of the musicians made multiple appearances on stage joyfully contributing to several of the above groups and likewise were cited as having won county and district accolades for their musical accomplishments.
A student's study of music has been proven to enhance academic performance; therefore, the administration, school board, faculty, staff and parents are all to be commended for their continued support of Northwestern Lehigh High School's Music Department.
As many compliments were shared by those in attendance…go spread the word so many more of our residents will enjoy the performances I look forward to during the 2015-16 school term.
