The Coplay Public Library will be hosting a Child ID program Saturday, June 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Community Partners 4 Kids will present parents with a CD containing complete information on their child: photographs, digital fingerprints, voice print and video. Parents will also have the option to insert newer photographs as their child grows older.

The program is free to everyone.

Our annual summer reading program will start Saturday, June 13. The 2015 theme is "Every Hero Has a Story/Unmask!"

We have many additional programs slated throughout the summer, including music, crafts, storytime and special speakers from many of our local businesses and governments.

We hope we will see you throughout the summer.

Story Time with Miss Jo will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 11 and 18.

All ages are welcome, and no preregistration is required.

The library will hold a fundraiser at Samuel Owens Restaurant and Bar Tuesday, June 16, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Take a seat in the dining room, and our friends at Samuel Owens will donate 10 percent of your check to the library.

Summer hours will begin the last week of June. Our hours will be Monday through Thursday, noon to 7 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

We will return to our regular hours Monday, Aug. 31.

Donations are now being accepted for our October book sale. All donations are tax deductible. We no longer accept VHS tapes, encyclopedias or text books.
