Bruce L. Rothrock Sr.

Bruce L. Rothrock Sr., 74, of Schnecksville, a well-known and respected businessman, entrepreneur, philanthropist and community minded individual, died peacefully May 28, 2015.

Born Dec. 14, 1940, in South Whitehall Township, he was the son of the late Theodore F. and Thelma E. (Quier) Rothrock.

He followed his life's passion for automobiles developing a revered career in the automobile business for which he received many of the industry and manufacturer's highest awards and accolades.

He was a person who impacted so many lives for the better through his genuine caring and loving personality.

A graduate of Parkland High School, he was the founder and owner of Rothrock Motor Sales Inc. a multi-franchised automobile dealership in Allentown.

He was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall.

A loving and devoted husband, he and his wife, Velia (Brogno) Rothrock, shared the last 35 years.

He was the devoted father and grandfather of son Bruce L. Jr. of Media, son David B. and his wife, Patrina, and their son, Kian Bruce, of Brein-igsville, son Dean A. and his wife, Lynn, and their son, Preston Wayne, of Slatington.

Predeceased by his daughter, Debra A. (Rothrock) Chiaradia, he is survived by her children, Peter Michael and Nicole Alexis and son-in-law, Paul M. Chiaradia; siblings Patricia R. Frey of Schnecksville, Theodore C. of Schnecksville, Kenneth R. of Neffs, and Donald C. of Coplay; many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a service of celebration and thanksgiving of his life 9:30 am. June 4, at Jordan United Church of Christ, 1837 Church Road, South Whitehall. The Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith will officiate.

Interment will immediately follow in the adjacent church cemetery.
