St John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 835 Third St., will be holding a Camp Discovery Vacation Bible School program June 22-26, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Children age 3 to sixth grade are invited to participate. There will be an adult class as well.

Lessons will focus on David and Goliath, Deborah, Shadrach, Meshach and Abennego, Bartimaeus and Ananias. There will be songs, crafts, snacks and Bible stories.

AARP Chapter 3115 will meet at noon on Thursday, June 4 at the American Club, 300 Cherry St., Coplay.

Jude Wasileski's polka band will entertain.

Refreshments will be available.

Those planning to attend are asked to bring a nonperishable item for the food bank.
