Liberty: Comedy Night May 30

Bethlehem Catholic:Alumni reunion June 6

The Becahi all-alumni reunion will held on June 6 throughout the school campus,| 2133 Madison Ave.

The event will open with a noon mass in the courtyard. The family fun time will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be tents for classes who are holding their reunions. Call 610-066-0791, ext. 323, for information.

Caroprese named advancement director

Nancy Ann Caroprese has been named as Bethlehem Catholic HS's new director of advancement. The former 20 year bank employee, she is the former director of advancement at St. Michael the Archangel School and the current director of advancement at Pius X HS. SHe will split her time between Becahi and Pius until the end of the school year.

K of C scholarship winners

Incoming Beca freshman Jenna Thomas was the Our Lady of Perpetual Help school recipient of the eighth grade Knights of Columbus scholarship. Beca students Ally Thomas, John Spirk and Kathryn Spirk were honored by the Knights of Columbus Trinity Council 313 (OLPH Parish) with college scholarships.

Biege wins watershed contest

Beca student Lauren Biege won first prize in the Bertsch Hokendauqua Catasauqua Watershed Association scholarship contest, which was open to all students in the watershed area.

Nitschmann: 5K/Walk May 30

The Nitschmann Nation and Nitschmann Middle School will hold the first Nitschmann Nation 5K and Two Mile Walk at 10 a.m. May 30 at Monocacy Park. All are welcome. Register online at www.runtheday.com/registration/race_info/30559 or email pmayes@basdschools.org.

Community Carnival May 30

The Nitschmann Nation will sponsor a community carnival to benefit the student resource officers summer City of Bethlehem Junior Police Academy from 4 to 7 p.m. May 30 at the school, 909 W. Union Blvd. Vendors and volunteers needed; email tloupos@basdschools.org or sconley@basdschools.org.

Calypso:Carnival set for May 30

Calypso will hold a carnival, featuring the Nitschmann MS Jazz Band, from noon to 4 p.m. May 30 at the school, 1021 Calypso Ave. Call 610-691-0152.

Clearview:Summer reading kickoff

Clearview will hold a carnival night from 4 to 8 p.m. May 30 (rain date May 31) at the school, 2121 Abington Road. Volunteers are needed; call 610-868-5994.

Community Carnival May 30

Clearview will hold an inaugural summer reading kickoff to summer reading program from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 3 at the school, 2121 Abington Road. There will be books, recipe/ preparation events and outdoor activities.
