Pauline E. (Harman) Moser, of Fountain Hill

Pauline E. (Harman) Moser, 89, of Fountain Hill, died May 9 at age 89. Born in Parnell, Mo., she was a daughter of the Charles and Elizabeth (Berg) Harman. She was the wife of the late Paul Moser.

She attended Benedictine College in Atchison, Kans. and earned a degree in education.

She was a dancer and singer during World War II, and performed for troops stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kans. She began a teaching career in Kansas City, Mo. She taught locally in the Salisbury Township and Bethlehem Area school districts for more 30 years, semi-retiring to a part-time position with the Bethlehem Area Public Library, and fully retired at age 80.

She was a member of St. Ursula's Church.

She was the Fountain Hill playground director for 20 years. She volunteered as a library aide in the Bethlehem Area School District (Spring Garden ES) and with the Bethlehem public library. She received the Bethlehem Area Teacher's Volunteer Award for her service. Fountain Hill planted trees in her name at the borough's 2011 Arbor Day celebration. She was most recently a guest of honor at the Fountain Hill playground fundraiser.

She is survived by a son, Jeffery and his wife Connie; a daughter, Rebecca and her husband Joseph Piltman; a daughter, Lou Ann and her husband Paul Suborits; a son, Gregory and his wife Suzan; a daughter, Michele and her husband William Deegan; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
