Celmer wins spot on Nov. ballot

There were no Democrat candidates on the ticket for the open six-year seat on the North Whitehall Board of Supervisors in the May 19 primary.

According to unofficial results from Lehigh County Voter Registration, Republican incumbent Richard Celmer received 385 votes.

Fellow Republican Mark Hills, a former supervisor, garnered an unofficial 329 votes.

Celmer unseated Hills in the May 2013 primary and beat Democrat Sam Neas in the November 2013 election for a two-year seat on the board.

Celmer's name will appear on the Nov. 3 Municipal Election ballot.
