Rhoda O. Smith, 97, formerly of Emmaus, died May 12, 2015, in Fellowship Manor. She was the wife of the late Ernest C. Smith. Born in Houtzdale, she was the daughter of the late Howard J. and Esther Mary (Calbert) Crago.

Prior to her marriage she worked as a secretary in the Pennsylvania State Department under Gov. James Duff.

She was a member of St. Matthew's EC Church, Emmaus, since 1956, where she was a Sunday school teacher, member of the choir and taught Bible study.

She was a member of Brookside Country Club, Christian Woman's Club, volunteered at Good Shepherd and was a Friend of the Emmaus Public Library.

She is survived by daughters, Susan C. Ungerer, of Emmaus, Barbara, of Allentown and Sally and her husband Douglas Bowen, of Whitehall; granddaughter, Janelle C. Zelko; nieces and nephews.
