Rev. Timothy L. Helms

The Rev. Timothy L. Helms, 67, of New Ringgold, went to be with the Lord, May 10, 2015, in The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

He and his wife Lisa J. (Diehl) Helms were married 31 years last Dec. 3.

Born Jan. 9, 1948, in Greenville, S.C., he was the son of the late Hal M. and Helen (Patterson) Helms.

After earning his Master of Divinity degree from Bangor Theological Seminary, Bangor, Maine, he began his life in ministry at St. Elias Reformed Church and Zion Reformed Church, Sunbury, from 1977-78.

He then served the Gladeland Charge UCC, Manns Choice, Bedford County from 1980-89, and Ebenezer UCC, New Tripoli, from 1989-2000.

He has been serving Living Stone Fellowship, New Tripoli, since 2000.

He was a member of The Apostolic Network of Global Awakening and One Voice Pastor's Network.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Jeremy C. of Albuquerque, N.M., Sarah C. Clouser of New Ringgold, Rachel A. Schwartz of Indianapolis, Ind., Emily P. Helms of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren Roseanna, Leah, Abigail and Isabella; and great-granddaughter Olivia.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca R. Helms.

A Life Celebration Ceremony will take place 10:30 a.m. May 16, in Living Stone Fellowship, 6925 Flint Hill Road, New Tripoli, with the Rev. Jack D. Groblewski officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.
