A 39-year-old Lehighton woman was found dead May 3 at 8729 Evergreen Circle, Upper Macungie Township, says Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim.

Pamela Zackus, of 226 Carbon St., was pronounced dead by Lehigh County Deputy Coroner Richard Kroon at 8:45 a.m. that same day.

An autopsy was performed Monday, and Grim says her cause of death is pending toxicology test results.

The coroner's office and Upper Macungie Township police are conducting an investigation with the assistance of Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin.
