Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association is hosting a Night at the Races Saturday, May 16, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and the first race starting at 6 p.m.

Videotapes will be shown of actual horse races.

The event takes place at the Cementon Playground pavilion on Dewey Street.

Food and refreshments will be available.

There is a cost.

Camp Rhythmo returns to the Whitehall area (Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ironton Rail Trail) July 6 through 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The 2015 theme is "Go the distance!" Activities include music, yoga and creative arts.

As a fundraiser for Camp Rhythmo, there will be a Camp Rhythmo 5-K walk/run on Saturday, May 16, with registration starting at 7:45 a.m.

Walkers begin at 8 a.m., and runners begin at 9 a.m.

Participants will be walking or running on the Ironton Rail Trail.
