Be sure to check yourself after working in the yard or going for walks, and also check your pets thoroughly, too.
Wear light-colored clothing when outdoors so you can easily spot any ticks.

Remember that although many stores in the Valley have beautiful annual flowers for sale, it is not yet safe to plant your annuals due to the danger of frost.
The general rule of thumb is to wait until May 15 to ensure the best chance for your annuals to thrive.
