Lee Shrawder

Lee Shrawder, 77, of Kempton, died April 25, 2015, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

He and his wife Janice L. (Tipsord) Schrawder celebrated their 55th wedding aniversary in September 2014.

Born in Norristown, he was a son of the late Francis S. and Eleanor V. (Bennett) Shrawder.

A 1955 graduate of Norristown High School, he received his Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Indiana Technical Institute, Ft. Wayne, Ind.

He was an engineer for nine years and then moved to Kempton where he spent the rest of his life farming and establishing Hawk Valley Farm, which sold wholesale and retail landscaping materials.

He sang with Summer Harmony, a men's chorus based in Allentown and the Zion Choral Society, a Christian choir from Zionsville.

He was a member of Jacob's Church, Jacksonville Lynn Township.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Danelle Louise Shrawder of Emmaus, and Jennifer Lynn, wife of Brian Schumaker of Lenhartsville; sons James Lee and wife Elizabeth Shrawder and John Scott Shrawder, all of Kutztown, Lawrence Alan Shrawder and Andrew Morgan and wife Karen Shrawder, all of Kempton; sister E. Virginia Stearly of Phoe-nixville; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
