Batteries stolen

from cell tower

Upper Macungie Township police say several batteries were taken from a Sprint cell tower in the 7400 block of Hamilton Blvd.

The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. April 8.

In another incident, police say 16 batteries were stolen around 5 a.m. the same day from the Sprint tower in the 400 block of Farmington Road, Breinigsville.

Anyone with information about these thefts is asked to call police at 484-661-5911.

Taxes filed

by identity thief

Police say a 52-year-old resident of the 100 block of Lilac Drive, Upper Macungie, reported he attempted to file his taxes but discovered someone else had filed taxes using his name.
