Rita A. Bren, 83, of Schnecksville, died April 19, 2015, in her home.

She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Bren Jr.

Born Oct. 15, 1931, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late William P. and Nellie (Sweeney) McDonough.

A registered nurse for the Dallas School District and Williamsport Area Hospital before retiring, she was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

Her survivors include children Joseph W. of Trucksville, Dr. Deborah A. Bren and her husband, Michael L. Wynosky, of Schnecksville, Rebecca A. Perrault and her husband, Wayne, of Rockaway, N.J., Michelle A. Bren of Phoenixville; siblings Helen P. McDonough, Fidelis McDonough RSM, William McDonough and wife Donna, Regina Theisen and husband Gerry, Katherine Madden and husband Joseph, Leo T. McDonough and wife Peggy, Paul McDonough and wife Barbara, Marion Feeney and husband Michael; grandchildren Jessica Thomas, Jacquelyn Snell, Rachael and Jeremy Perrault, Nathan and Kevin Wynosky; and great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. April 23, at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield.

Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday in the church.

Interment will follow the Mass at Jersey Shore Cemetery, Lycoming County.
