Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, invites the community to its annual Country Sale from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. May 2.

Yard sale vendors will be set up inside Memorial Hall, on church grounds and in the grove.

Come for lunch and enjoy homemade soup, barbecues, hot dogs, baked goods and more.

The Youth Group will have a stand outside to sell walking tacos, root beer floats and pretzels.

Other items available for purchase include used books and church commemorative items.

The sale is a time for food, fun and fellowship.

The Upper Lehigh Lions Club will host a vendor bingo April 26, in the Schnecksville Fire Company pavilion.

Doors open at noon. Bingo starts 1 p.m.

Various name brand items will be offered.

The event includes special prizes, Chinese auction and 50/50 drawing. Refreshments and food will be available.

Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, has paintings of the Rev. Jim Henderschedt on display in its gallery.

Although Pastor Jim has always had a passion for art, he was discouraged by an unfavorable comment from his fourth-grade teacher who told him, "James, you will never do well as an artist."

After he retired, Pastor Jim enrolled in art lessons and rediscovered a long-dormant talent.

His paintings may be purchased for a donation to help church youth.

Creative decorations set the scene for a cheerful good time as congregants' birthdays for the entire year are celebrated.

Cub Scout Pack 144 is having a Crop and Craft fundraiser 9 a.m.-6 p.m. May 2 at St. John's UCC.

The day is designed for anyone who enjoys crafting and scrapbooking.

Schnecksville Fire Company will have its last buffet breakfast of the season 8 a.m.-1 p.m. on April 26.
