The Whitehall Lions Club is having a spring basket social 3-8 p.m. Friday, May 1 and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at the Cementon Playground.

The public is invited to bid on favorite baskets and support this civic organization.

The fourth annual Egypt Park Festival and Curt Simmons Day will be held Saturday, May 30.

The day will start off with a 10 a.m. parade down Main Street in Egypt, followed by a rededication of the World War II memorial.

The day then moves forward with kiddie carnival rides, music, food and beer.
