John Eric Linde Jr., 93, of Orefield, died April 18, 2015, at The Village at Willow Lane, Macungie.

He was the husband of the late Ruberta M. "Ruby" Linde.

Born in Orefield, he was the son of the late J. Eric and Esther W. (Lindborg) Linde.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he earned a Master's degree in horticulture from Penn State University and was a past president of the State Horticultural Association of Pennsylvania.

He managed the Northampton Farm Bureau, Tatamy, from 1973-87 and served as general manager for Trexler Orchards, Orefield, from 1952-72.

He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

His survivors include children Eric and his wife, Shirley, Kris and Catherine Linde, and Beth Dimler and her husband, Donald; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his sisters Ruth and Eleanor.
