Richard K. "Dick" Thomas, 83, of Whitehall, died peacefully at home on Good Friday, April 3, 2015.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Henry J. and Edith M. (Deily) Thomas.
A U.S. Army corporal during the Korean Conflict, serving in Germany, he returned home and became a member of the Fullerton American Legion Post 367.
He retired in 1993 from the bindery department of Chernay Printing, Coopersburg.
An avid bowler, he was a life member of Coplay Saengerbund and member of its traveling league for many years.
His survivors include daughter Colleen Thomas with whom he resided; sisters Grace Peters of Florida, Janet Searfass and husband, Edward, of Allentown, Bobbi Shannon and husband, Gene, of Florida, Sandra Easterwood of Ormrod, Linda Gray of Reading, Sue Koval of North Carolina, and Debra McBeth and husband, Michael, of Alburtis; grandchildren Tracy, Thomas, Marcie and Brandon; and a large extended family.
He was predeceased by daughter Christine M. Holmes, sister Nancy J. Moats and brother Donald "Jack" Thomas.
