Donald P. "Satch" Diehl, 77, of Schnecks-ville and Lake Wallenpaupack, died April 10, 2015, surrounded by his loving family in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife Eunice M. (Youse) Diehl were married 52 years.
Born Aug. 16, 1937, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Paul and Emily (Sechler) Diehl.
He was a foreman for Union Local 23, Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers for 33 years before retiring in 1999.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during a peacetime era.
A member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, Allen O. Delke American Legion Post 16, Slatington, and the Trinkling Springs Association, Lake Wallenpaupack, he was a life member of Copeechan Fish and Game Club, Schnecksville. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed spending his summers at Lake Wallenpaupack with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jon P. and his wife, Kim, of Orefield; and granddaughter Jocelyn R. Diehl of Orefield. He was predeceased by a sister Ruth Hartzell.
