Pearl E. Kern, 91, of Allentown, died March 31, 2015, in the Phoebe Home. She was the wife of Arthur W. Kern Sr. for 71 years. Born in Egypt, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Mae (Guth) White.

She was a homemaker and worked for Ritter Brothers Silk Mill for 16 years, retiring in 1956.

She was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children, Patricia A., wife of the late Ronald Reinhard, of Slatington; William K. and his wife Sandy, of Allentown; Susan and her husband Terry Weikel, of Downingtown; Barbara and her husband Jim Valentine, of Sardinia, Ohio; and Arthur W. Jr. and his wife Deborah, of Wescosville; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
