"A Tale Of Two Cities" is being staged at 7:30 p.m. April 23, 24 and 2 p.m. April 25 in the auditorium of Notre Dame High School, 3417 Church Road, Bethlehem Township.
The tale of romance and chivalry during "the best and worst of times" features French immigrant Charles Darnay (Josh Mitchell), who returns to his native Paris during the French Revolution only to be imprisoned by the new regime, sentenced to death by guillotine and awaiting his fate in the Bastille.
Leading cast members are love-triangle beauty Lucie Manette (Nicole Deschinat), Lucie's father Dr. Alexandre Manette (Luke Kenyon), Sydney Carton (Patrick Davis), Ernest Defarge (Peter Gambino) and Madame (Therese Defarge).
Director is Rody Gilkeson. Musical Director is Elizabeth Marsh-Gilkeson. Choreographer is Meghan Koehler. Production Manager is Sara Faubert. Set and Lighting Designer is Sal Ritz.
"A Tale Of Two Cities," which is adapted from the Charles Dickens' novel, debuted on Broadway in 2008. Jill Santoriello wrote the music and lyrics and book.
Songs include "Reflection," "I Can't Recall," "Out Of Sight Out Of Mind" and "Until Tomorrow."
