·Eastern Pa. Down Syndrome Center, Allentown needs volunteers, ages 15 and older, for the 3.21 Run for Down Syndrome in the Lehigh Parkway April 18. The unique 3.21 distance symbolizes the three copies of the 21st chromosome known to cause Down Syndrome. Sign up to assist with registration and start, staff the refreshment table or serve as a course guide.

·Feed the Children, Bethlehem, has an opportunity for one or two volunteers to serve as receptionist 9 a.m. to noon Monday to Friday at the Bethlehem distribution center. Responsibilities include welcoming visitors, checking in volunteers, updating the volunteer database and assisting the volunteer supervisor with other tasks. Must be reliable, punctual, friendly and willing to help staff. Computer skills preferred. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods.

·Independent Transportation Network, Bethlehem, is looking for volunteer drivers to transport seniors ages 60 and older and visually impaired adults in the Lehigh Valley. Choose when, where and how often to drive. Greatest need is in the Bethlehem area.

·Lehigh Valley Zoo, Schnecksville offers many exciting volunteer opportunities throughout our season for volunteers age 14 and older. Call Timmi Fiske at 610-799-4171 or email Fiske at tfiske@lvzoo.org.

·Saucon Valley Community Center, Hellertown, needs volunteers for the annual golf tournament 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 8. Knowledge of golf would be helpful, but is not required. Volunteers would sit at holes designated for prizes.

·Special Olympics, Bethlehem is looking for a volunteer with marketing or graphic design experience to help design occasional flyers and brochures. Design experience does not need to be extensive, but the volunteer needs to have very good written communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.
