Luther J. Schaller, 89, of Coplay, died March 17, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospice-Inpatient, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Anna (Resh) Schaller.

Born in Kunkletown, he was a son of the late George and Mabel (Frey) Schaller.

He was in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a plasterer for Duggan and Marcon until he retired in 1989.

He was a member of American Legion Post 215, Catasauqua, and of the North Catasauqua senior citizen group.

He is survived by a son, Gene and his wife Ellen of Northampton; two brothers, Arlan Schaller of Rehoboth Beach, Del., and Kermit Schaller of Loveland, Colo.; four sisters, Hattie Smith of Macungie, Erma Rothenberger and Esther Kelly, both of Wescosville, and Viola Bartholomew of Allentown; and two granddaughters, Melissa Schaller-Deibert and Tara Schaller.

He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Mandy Lynn Schaller.
